Luca is an experienced insurance professional with more than 15 years of experience within the Maltese insurance industry, specialising in commercial and corporate insurance, risk assessment, programme structuring and client advisory.
Throughout his career, Luca has developed extensive experience in managing the insurance requirements of commercial and corporate clients across a broad range of industries. His technical background encompasses risk assessment, policy structuring, placement strategy and claims management, providing him with a comprehensive understanding of the insurance lifecycle and the increasingly complex risk environment faced by businesses.
Luca has particular expertise in analysing complex risk exposures and working with clients to develop insurance programmes aligned with their operational, contractual and commercial requirements. His experience includes negotiating with insurers, evaluating coverage structures and coordinating placements across multiple classes of business, while maintaining a strong focus on appropriate coverage, commercial value and regulatory standards.
Luca joined Mulberry in 2024 and today serves as Practice Leader – Commercial Risks, with responsibility for leading and developing the firm’s commercial insurance practice.
In his role, Luca works closely with Mulberry’s executive leadership, broking teams and insurance market partners to oversee the delivery of insurance solutions to commercial and corporate clients. He is actively involved in the management of key client relationships, the development of new business opportunities and the continued strengthening of Mulberry’s commercial risk proposition.
As Practice Leader, Luca also plays an important role in developing the capabilities of the Commercial Risks team, promoting technical excellence, consistent service standards and a collaborative approach to client management. His focus is on ensuring that clients receive responsive, informed and commercially focused advice throughout their relationship with Mulberry.
Luca holds the Diploma of the Chartered Insurance Institute (Dip. CII). His combination of technical insurance knowledge, analytical capability and client-focused approach supports Mulberry’s continued growth within the corporate and commercial insurance market and its commitment to delivering high-quality risk solutions to clients in Malta and internationally.
