David is a highly experienced insurance professional, bringing with him more than 37 years of extensive experience in insurance broking, corporate risk management and advisory services. Throughout his career, he has held several senior positions within the insurance industry, developing considerable expertise in the management of complex corporate insurance programmes and the provision of strategic risk advice.
David began his insurance career in 1989 with Mediterranean Insurance Brokers Limited, following his graduation with Distinction from the Mediterranean Insurance Training Centre. Over the years, he developed broad technical expertise across the non-marine insurance sector, with particular emphasis on commercial and corporate risks.
Throughout his career, David has been entrusted with the insurance portfolios of a number of major organisations operating across strategically important sectors of the Maltese economy. His experience includes advising leading organisations within the financial services, energy, postal and diversified commercial sectors, giving him a strong understanding of the insurance and risk-management requirements of large and complex businesses.
His expertise extends beyond insurance placement to client relationship management, risk assessment, programme structuring and strategic advisory services. He has worked closely with senior management teams and key stakeholders to develop tailored insurance solutions designed around the specific operational and risk exposures of their organisations.
David joined Mulberry Insurance Brokers PCC as Chief Officer – Commercial Risks, strengthening the firm’s senior leadership and further enhancing its capabilities within the corporate and commercial insurance market.
In his role, David works closely with Mulberry’s leadership and Commercial Risks team in developing and managing relationships with major corporate clients, providing strategic insurance and risk advice, and supporting the continued development of the firm’s commercial risk proposition.
His extensive industry experience, technical knowledge and client-focused approach further reinforce Mulberry’s commitment to delivering high-quality, tailored insurance solutions to corporate clients in Malta and internationally.
